The 2050 Future

The Oracle stared into his crystal ball, watching the fog wisp around inside. An old wrinkled woman sat on the opposite side of the table, she glared back at him. “Do you see it?” she grunted.

“See what woman? You act as though this thing actually tells you something,” he chortled.

“I swear, I saw three things that will be different in our future. One… the people will be many and mindless slaves. Two… the leaders will be well fed and isolated away from the populace, living in luxury. And Three… A speeding asteroid will be screaming toward earth on a collision path,” she shivered.

“Do you believe the prophecy?” asked the Oracle.

“I do if we continue on this destructive path of forfeiting our freedoms,” she nodded.

“Okay, but how are you going to fix the giant rock?”
