I hurried along the uneven pavement in my four inch heels and pencil shaped skirt with matching jacket, stopping long enough to drop the letter in the post box. I closed my purse, hung the strap on my shoulder, and locked my ankles in place to stop the wobbliness from the shoes. I had a job and I wasn’t going to be late.
