The Long Walk
As arrogant as Stewart was he wasn’t prepared for what came
next. He stood in the dark tunnel, his head pounding with regrets, and
reminisced about the slow walk he’d just taken along the train tracks. Each
time he took his eyes off his feet and looked up at the walls he recognized a past
life experience. Some not so nice. In fact, most were questionable deeds. He’d
gained his success on the backs of many and had never shared the credit or
thanked anyone. Now he found himself alone and frightened. A bright light lit
the tunnel in front of him. He began to sweat. Was this the end? Where did it
lead? Or was this an oncoming train?
