“People… ‘What is the secret of a happy marriage?’ you ask?”
the man in the pulpit stated. He continued, “The Lord of course, you say, but I
believe it is many things that have to work together. God, love, respect,
communication, and the fore-thought to have similar goals. And after you
consider all of those it takes work, hard work, to disagree and find a way
through the problems of everyday life. The ups and downs of all things whether
it be sex, money, or just living under the same roof. Remember it isn’t always
greener on the other side, it’s just more of the same, because it boils down to
your choices.” He paused to breathe and then added, “If you are not willing to
accept these conditions then you have no business being married or more
importantly, bringing children into this union.”
