My New Novel... 2nd Chances: A
Book of Choices by TD Cooper.
Trevor Brady, a pirate in the 1700's, grows weary of his Captain's mistreatment of a young woman. He decides one night after a long and arduous voyage that he isn't going to watch him destroy another life. He rescues the woman and sets her free. Captain Hardy is livid. By the end of the day Trevor is dead and the pirate ship has sunk to the bottom of the Caribbean.
Trevor waits to be swept up and sent to the dungeons of the earth but instead he is offered a 2nd chance to redeem his soul. During his redemption he becomes a ghostly guardian of the innocent and chooses to live among humans.
As he builds a life to appear human he meets a young woman that reminds him of Katrina, the girl he loved a long time ago. He is smitten and believes she carries Katrina's soul.
During this same time his old captain, Captain James Hardy, is discovered to have also returned from the dead as an evil ghost. He has promised to destroy everything Trevor is and loves. For the next two hundred and fifty years Hardy follows through with his vow and takes everything good from Trevor.
Trevor has begun a new life in the Bay Area when he meets Kate Carter. He is positive that she is the reincarnation of Katrina and after all the years of disappointment and conflict he has found his true soulmate. This time Hardy is not going to take her away from him.
Trevor and his guardian friends wend up in an action packed conflict protecting Kate against Captain Hardy and his crew of kidnappers. In the end Trevor is faced with a decision that only true love can answer.

I enjoyed reading this book. Just enough of everything...romance, suspense, excitement. The storyline kept me entertained that it was a fast read for me...I did not want to put it down. The only disappointing thing about the book that I can honestly say is...that it ended!
Wonderful story. When I first started it, I thought, oh no, not my type of reading, but it grabbed me from the start and I couldn't wait to keep reading. Can't wait for another book from this great author.
This book has everything I wanted from a fun piece of fiction- love, loss, religion, existential questions, and pirates. It was very entertaining to read and think about afterwards. Well done, Ms. Cooper!
