I’m Bob… Some Call Me ‘Hannibal’

The alarm buzzed, waking Bob. He smacked the button, and rolled to a sitting position on the side of the bed. His feet slid into the slippers that were neatly sitting in the exact place they’d been every morning. He reached for the glasses case on the bedside table, opening the spring loaded box, and donning the black horn-rimmed eye-wear. He slicked his hair back, stood, and made the twin bed, not leaving a single wrinkle. The worn teddy bear he had as a little boy was placed on the pillow. He dressed in his neatly pressed blue scrubs.

“Dad, wake up! I’ll make us some tea,” he called, pounding on his father's door from the hall.

Bob flipped the kitchen light on and filled the teapot, placing it on the stove. He opened the tea canister and dumped two heaping scoops of a white, powdery substance in the bottom of each cup. “Dad, what would you like for breakfast?” he called.

“You know I only eat kidneys in the morning. How many times must I tell you!?” he growled.

“Okay,” Bob said. “Kidneys it is.” He went to the refrigerator, popped the lid on a plastic container, and pulled out two slabs of bright red meat. The frying pan was hot. They sizzled upon contact. In the meantime the kettle whistled, alerting Bob that the water was hot. He filled the cups and stirred.

After breakfast was eaten, Bob cleared and washed the dishes. He left the kitchen with nothing out of place. “Dad I’m turning on the TV for you. I’ll be in the basement,” he said, leaving the kitchen with his father sitting at the table, drinking his tea. The television in the living room blared at full volume.

Bob put on his heavy coat and plastic apron that hung on a nail at the top of the stairs, descended, and bellied up to the table where the male body laid filleted open from chin to bellybutton. Up in the kitchen his father sat with his skeletal hands on the tabletop, propping his body upright.

REVIEW
I loved this uniquely written
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
I loved this uniquely written, paranormal romance - so rare to find one written from the man's perspective! I downloaded this book to my Kindle but, after reading it, I would SERIOUSLY have paid more than $2.99. Might want to raise the cost to $9.99 or even $15.99 so the price reflects that it's a really great read!
