The Transformation
The explosion in the tunnel ripped through the lab, blowing
the test tubes and their contents throughout the small village. Tangra felt the
effects burning into her skin.
"What was that?" she screamed in pain.
“They blew up the entrance and the shock wave reverberated through
the DNA lab.”
She looked around and saw that she wasn’t the only one
writhing in pain. As the burning subsided, she climbed to her knees, water
dripping from her hair and clothes. She saw her mirrored reflection in the
puddle surrounding her. Her hair had begun to change from blonde to jet black,
she grew sharp pointed canines, and her eyes glowed yellow with long slanted pupils.
The horror gripped Tanga as she glanced around at the other villagers and to
her surprise they too were taking on characteristics of various large cats.
