Anticipating Fall

There is nothing better than a nice summer breeze. I get to really show off my shiny, waxy side, not to mention brushing up against twiggy holding me in place and Lanaleaf next door. She’s as glossy as I am. “Woohoo!”

But I can tell the weather is changing. The tree standing tall and straight beside me has some fellow compatriots that aren’t looking so youthful. They even are starting to look dirty and tired. Their leaves are starting to get that brown edge and they are fading. I think they are deciduous trees. Soon the poor leaves will have out lived their usefulness and become ground fodder. I’m glad I’m an evergreen.
