Unfinished Projects
Janie strolled through the house, picking up toys and dirty
clothes. Her mind was cluttered with dialog and back story to her sequel,
trying to work out the events leading up to the climax. How would the
protagonist and his crew finally come together to ward off the antagonist and
his cohorts.
The bits and pieces as scrambled as a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle
still in the box.
“Mom, what’s for dinner,” cried a small voice from the
family room. Her concentration disrupted, again, before the edge of the puzzle
had been laid out.
“I’ll never finish this story,” she sighed, “until I lock
myself away for an entire month. Like that’s going to happen!”
