Gossip
Two eleventh grade girls stood in front of the bank of
lockers. Opening them and fishing out their history books for their next class.
A classmate approached, “Do you see that man coming in with the bag slung over
his shoulder?” he said, pointing in the direction of the outside door.
“Yeah, what about him? He’s a sub I think,” Candy said,
shrugging.
“He is, but do you know why he’s subbing?” Derrick buzzed.
Both girls gaped questioningly. “I’ll take that as a no… I just overheard the
principle tell him, ‘not to discuss the gossip with any of the students and to
make sure if he finds any more drug paraphernalia, not to touch it’. So that
means that the chem-teacher really was busted for making crack… Here at school!”
he chortled.
The girls continued to gawk with their eyes growing wider
and their mouths beginning to drop open. “I never would have guessed nerdy
looking Mr. Hasty would be cooking drugs!” Mary gasped.
