            A terrible sledding accident at age six left Serena Smothers visually impaired. Now seventeen years old, she has all the challenges of a New York City high school student, plus an ability to predict a person’s future.

            Serena sets out on a cold, snowy morning to make her first solo walk to school. As she turns into the schoolyard, an ice ball slams into her temple. Before Serena loses consciousness, she predicts that one of her classmates is about to commit suicide. Is it her favorite teacher, the star football player, her best friend, the snarky cheerleader, or has she misread the signs.

            Follow Serena into the halls of Jefferson High as she struggles to fit in with the student body while trying to accept a budding romance, and attempting to solve the mystery of the person planning their suicide.
