Regina, Pam,
Dyson, Matthew, and Sally are the children of deceased parents. They were placed
into foster care at an early age for their protection against a magical world
they knew nothing about. Each was grateful to be living in a loving home with a
place to grow until one morning when their oldest sibling, Veronica, brought a
stranger into their lives.
Veronica had been tricked into
believing that Marcus, her boyfriend, was going to help her rob Mrs. Hillsdale
and then help her escape her home of, “endless children and chores.” Marcus had
other ideas. His plan was to steal the magical powers of her foster siblings.
The children escape Marcus and
Veronica. During their fight for freedom, they happen upon a dilapidated
mansion that turns out to be the magical kingdom of the lost race of Atlantis.
There they learn who they are and about their magic, but more importantly they
learn that Mrs. Hillsdale has a mortal wound and only magic can save her.
The children set out on a
quest, against the wishes of the leaders of Magic House, to save Mrs. H. They
enlist the help of dragons, brownies, and unicorns; all beings living under the
protection of Magic House, and all willing to lay down their lives for Regina Edwards.
