TD Cooper I stood on the fo’csle, staring through the spyglass; the lifeless sea reverberating an eerie silence, while I studied the horizon for land. The sails hung limp with not so much as a breath of wind, leaving our wayward ship to float hapless on the current. A droplet of sweat trickled off my brow stinging my eye and adding to my already foggy vision. Two sailors squabbled over a tiny bit of shade while another, in his delirium, attempted to plunge into the sea in search of drinking water.
